Food chemist Dr Ulrich Nehring is Managing Director of NEHRING Consultants GmbH at Braunschweig in Germany, which is an independent consultancy firm in the field of food law, food hygiene, quality management as well as requirements and conformity work for food contact materials.
For 25 years until 2017 Ulrich Nehring was working as Managing Director and scientific head of INSTITUT NEHRING GmbH, an independent testing laboratory specialized in food safety, hygiene and compliance testing of foodstuffs and food contact materials.
Dr Nehring is also Chairman of the Food Contact Working Group of the German Verband Metallverpackungen (the German metal packaging industry association) and is a member of the Metal Packaging Europe (MPE) food contact commission and of T-JIG.
Dr Nehring chairs the scientific advisory board of BOGK e.V (association of the German fruit, vegetable and potatoes processors industry) and is member of the scientific advisory board of the Research Association of the German Food Industry (FEI).
