CURRICULUM VITAE
Jan Switten graduated in 1971 at Leuven University with a degree in Chemistry. He started his career with DuPont de Nemours in Mechelen, Belgium, in the R & D Department responsible for lacquers, coatings and packaging polymers.
From 1981 – 1985: Production Manager in the field of polymers and coatings. At the same time he completed his post-graduate degree in business at Leuven University.
In 1985 he joined the Du Pont packaging team in Geneva as marketing consultant for the introduction and development of specialty plastics and barrier materials for the packaging and automotive industries. From 1991 he was responsible for marketing, sales and market development in the field of packagings and packaging materials in several companies Borealis, Domo, Dolder, Plasticos). In 2004 SWITTEN, training and advice in plastics and packaging was founded. The company operates internationally and offers services in several languages.
