CURRICULUM VITAE
Jiabril Gigli, Ph.D in Food Engineering and Rheology, is currently the CEO of SAES Coated Films SpA, an Italian company specialized in high-barrier coated films for flexible packaging. Since SAES group acquired Metalvuoto, giving rise to SAES Coated Films, Dr. Gigli has been CTO of the new company, leading its research and technological development for the implementation of new products capable of overcoming the sustainability challenges facing the flexible packaging industry today. During 2011-2016 he was responsible for the Business Development Application Lab of SAES, where he coordinated the development and optimization activities of polymer composites for gas management in various applications, from electronic display to biomedical, and packaging. Rooting his scientific knowledge in Food Science and Engineering, he has been able to combine the innovative drive of research with the practical needs of the market over the years, in light of his vision of industry evolution and new technological opportunities.
