CURRICULUM VITAE
Uwe Couvreux (diploma/master business administration) is living with his family in the german region Rheinland. During his professional career, he focused on marketing, surface design and packaging materials, most recently as long-standing managing director of a medium-sized surface finishing group. In 2006 he took over maropack film processing in Andernach and has been working on packaging concepts for highly transparent and sustainable films. In 2014, he and a partner founded another location, maropack-serbia, not far from Belgrad. Besides the production of bags, center-folded-films and flat-films, small substrates >2mm (cross-wrapping papers, films) and stand-up pouches are also manufactured. Sustainable substrates now use a large proportion of the production capacity. Maropack produces, at both locations with around 50 employees, on a 3500 square metres production space, has its own QA system and is in the BRC certification process.
