Toshio Arita founded Packaging Strategies Japan Corporation in 2007 after ten years' Japanese representation for Packaging Strategies, a division of BNP Media Company (USA), to provide research and advisory to brand owners, packaging converters and material suppliers of the packaging industry as his interactive gateway function between Japan and overseas.
After 20 years carrier as a pulp and paper production engineer, Toshio Arita jointed Dia Packaging Corporation (Dia) in 1976, which is now renamed as Mitsubishi Shoji Packaging Corporation as its marketing arm and buying-and-selling subsidiary company for Mitsubishi's involving in the packaging industry.
Jointly working with Mitsubishi, Toshio Arita played a professional role in launching several new packaging businesses by introducing innovative technologies from overseas, including Hypa-S aseptic technology from Bosch of Germany for fruit juice and Dispen-SR-Pack from the United States for portion package.
Upon his retirement from Dia in 1997, he jointed Packaging Strategies as its Japanese Representative and an editor of the Japanese language version of Packaging Strategies Newsletter, twice-a-month newsletter.

- As a packaging consultant Toshio Arita has a lot of accomplishment of making an arrangement of JV companies, licensing agreement, and searching global and domestic market. Also Arita has made several presentations outside of Japan at 1)Conferences hosted by Packaging Strategies, 2)The World Packaging Congress in 2008 by the Brazilian Packaging Association, 3)Food Packaging Seminar at Scanpack in 2009, and very recently in Japan 4)Packaging Seminar at Tokyo Pack 2010. Currently Arita is focusing on Sustainable Packaging as well as the future vision of the packaging industry and packages beyond 2010 to 2020.
- Toshio Arita is a member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) both in Japan and in the US and also a member of the International Packaging Press Organization (IPPO). In 2005 Arita was induced into the Packaging Hall of Fame (USA). Arita holds a bachelor degree of chemical engineering from Tokyo University and a certificate as a Professional Engineer for packaging and logistics.
