PÖPPELMANN blue®” - closed loop of recycling management at the example of spouts for pouches The initiative PÖPPELMANN blue® has the target, to realize a “real” closed loop of recycling management for plastics. Especially of the new guidelines for plastic packaging of the European Commission the topics recycling-capability of packaging and re-using of recycled material are in the focus of interest. Also for spouted pouches first solutions are in process to close the loop.
For reaching this target, packaging has to be capable for recycling and the recycled material must be usable for the production of new spouts, caps and pouches. To realize this closed loop Pöppelmann FAMAC is currently working on spouted pouch solutions.

Modern spouts and caps for stand-up pouches The use of an existing standard program offers customers a cost-effective way to get started in a new packaging system such as the pouches.
To make a decision for pouches, many components must be considered: e.g. the filling good, the filling technology, the compilation of the film and, not least, the production of the bag with a welding spout.
The system and family thought of the FAMAC standard program offers a great possibility of individualization up to the development of customer-specific solutions.
The presentation will give an overview of the current possibilities of such a standard program.
Furthermore, based on examples, customized special solutions that enable the realization of completely new packaging concepts with pouches will be presented.
