CURRICULUM VITAE
Prof. Dr. Markus Schmid is a trained master butcher and business economist in the trades. He studied food technology and food processing at the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda and earned his doctorate at the Chair of Food Packaging Technology at the Technical University of Munich. He worked as a project manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV in Freising. Since March 2018, he has been a professor at the Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences in the Faculty of Life Sciences at the Sigmaringen site. There he manages the Sustainable Packaging Institute SPI.
