Scaldopack - A pouch which cools and heats the contents
From Harald Saelens - Self-Heating and Self-Cooling packaging the past and future. Up till today many companies over the globe have looked and developed numerous forms of self-heating and cooling packages.
Self-Heating packaging is a long known concept but carries a series of inherit difficulties with the concept. Many different types of exothermic reaction substances have been used all to obtain a suitable self-heating reaction to heat-single serve portions, liquid and or solid.
Today Scaldopack has developed a further evolution of the existing idea but has incorporated the concept in a flexible packaging in order to make a packaging concept that is both consumer friendly as well as a packaging that is using the minimal amount packaging material as possible.
