Stand-up pouches as a new trend

Ecology and economy are the focus of the 6th European Stand-up Pouch Conference organised by Innoform Coaching GbR on 11/12 September, 2018 in Berlin at the Steigenberger Hotel am Kanzleramt in Berlin.

More and more new markets and products open up to the stand-up pouches, and more and more brands decide upon them. Since its invention in the 1950s, it has displaced glasses, folding boxes and other bags from supermarkets. In 2017 alone, 45.7 billion stand-up pouches were used across Europe, and demand is expected to increase by 10% by 2020.

What are the reasons? Is the pouch less expensive, better or just trendy?

Increasing consumer expectations for convenience and easy product handling are leading to an increasing demand for reclosable stand-up pouches.

Hardly any other type of packaging offers a more extensive selection of material combinations, sizes and shapes.

At this conference, the properties of the pouch will be examined along the value chain and new aspects will be discussed. International speakers from the food, packaging and raw material as well as the waste disposal industries will illuminate the potential of stand-up pouches and why stand-up pouches, pouches, doypacks or SUP‘s increasingly gain recognition among consumers and producers and get more and more shelf space:

Experts from business and science offer well-founded presentations for a future-oriented discussion.
